nice boys down at Breakin Even Records, Well the Groove Diggerz
to be exact, have been nicenough to include Slinky in their digital
remix package.
The
boys handed out their parts to Slinky along with The Drummatic Twins,
JHz, Kickflip, Jay Stewart and Retochordz to see what the boys could
come up with.
Although the original "Time Kontrol" will only be featured
on the forthcoming Groove Diggerz album, the remix package is sure

Slinky has been making major carnage with his audiowaves!

Slinky will be shook the house down at Brighton's White Rhino breaks nite. All reports from the promoters and fans seem to be good!
Slinky will be joining forces with Get busy residents to start a new residency at Inigo Bar in Clapham.
Slinky is currently facing mental breakdown after a second hardrive malfunction in 3 months. Losing 70G of audio data and projects 2 days before planned backups!
Slinky
is to start a collaboration with breaks don of producers, ILS.

Slinky seemed to play well before the Friendly gig at cmoog last
friday. Not the numbers expected, but all there had a blast with
MC Handy lending his vocals to the mic, slinky and pob turning the
mob into a lather before Friendly came on to decimate in his wieerd
and quirky style. Incredible visuals wer supplied by Mike from Motion
Theory, and Michelle Belle once again amazed us with her installations,
thanks for all who came and made the nite a jumpin affair!
Slinky will be playing with Pob and Vortex at coorabell hall this
friday the 14th, see Dates for details...

Slinky is studying
hard at SAE, engaging in a thesis with the help of General Midi
and BLIM!
Slinky is currently
still working on his track Sinusoidal funk, studies slowing the
progression.
Slinky has moved from
Emagic Logic Audio to Steinberg Nuendo with Reason and Abelton Rewire.
Slinky may be doing
his internship late this year with the Nubreed boys from Melbourne.

Slinky has had good
sets, supporting Soul of Man and Tayo already at the start of this
summer, with a killer support set in store for the Plump DJ's Set
in Byron
Slinky has been invited
to play the NYE street party for Bay FM in Byron Bay
Slinky is still working

Slinky passed first
year of SAE Audio Engineering College with a Pass mark of 81%...Go

at Cocomangas nightclub in Byron Bay every Wednesday night from
11pm upstairs showcasing all things breakbeat.

Slinky has just had
his track “New Life” signed to Dose Records in Byron

Slinky is currently studying for SAE Audio engineering exams
Slinky is currently working on a new Funk Monster of a track “Sinusoidal
Funk”.
NOVEMBER
2003
Slinky has started
at SAE headquarters in Byron Bay and enjoying the work on the new
Mac G5's running Logic & Protools.
Slinky has finished
two new dancefloor filling breakbeat tracks. "Spooky"
is a Drum & Bassy type track with conga percussion, Spooky sounds
and some heavy modulation after the second breakdown which rips
the dancefloor apart. Dad's guitar samples some oldskool hammond
samples and some tight guitar programming to give a live rock feel
to the floor.
Slinky is also writing
tentatively for Lee groves of Terminalhead fame for an undercover
project...stay tuned!
Slinky has a big summer
lined up, winning a DJ competition to play at Summer Field Dayze
along side Tiesto, Groove Armada, and Rennie Pilgrem.He also goes
in the Qicksilver DJ Final to win a possible prize of $5000Aus!
Later in November, December and January, Slinky Supports BLIM, FreQnasty,
Tayo, and Stanton Warriors at Respective events.
AUGUST
2003
Slinky
has started producing under the guise of "PREFORM" so
whatch out for his tunes at your nearest club, and on possible upcoming
releases.
Preform has
just finished work on his breaks infested dance stormer "New
Life" with smooth drum programming, funky bass and howling
guitar stabs and synth wails. It even samples his dearly beloveds
voice!
Time
is nigh for Slinky/Preform to slip in and start learning at Byron
Bays recently finished SAE Audio Engineering and Production College.
October 20 sees him start to learn and start to lose hair.
September and
October see slinky booked up with slots at the Nomads, "Lost
In bass" at C-Moog, "Super Disco" at Mullum Leages,
Chilled out sessions at the moogbar, "End of Winter Party"
at C- Moog, and another installment of the Legendary outdoor dance
festival "Pillar Valley".
JUNE
2003
Slinky & Pob (the Byron breakbeat dons’
hee hee) have secured a monthly night at the C-moog bar in Byron
Bay. “Lost In Bass”in collaboration with Mix Mix the
boys will be bringing you the freshest new sounds in Nuskool &
Funky Breakbeat with a 10K sound system every third Thursday of
the month.
Early September, Slinky & Pob along with
many of Byron’s DJ’s raised $600 for the UNKLE project.
This project aims to give children in single mother families a father
figure for support and understanding.
Slinky will be playing a Sunday slot on the
‘Circle of Consciousness’ stage at this years Splendor
in the Grass Music Festival.Slinky missed out on a locals spot on
the main stage this year, but is feeling good about next years slot
.Adam Freeland will also be playing on the main dance stage on Sunday.
‘The History of Breakbeat’ is
on this Friday the 13th (ooohhh) showcasing all forms of breakbeat.
The night willstart with DJ Katch (2-dogs) playing oldskool classics,
followed by DJ Noodles playing oldscool and nuskool funk and Hip-Hop.
Shortly after Slinky will step up to play the freshest and newest
Funky and nuskool breakbeat. To finish the night, DJ Pob will be
playing some nuskool breakbeat into fat and heavy Drum & Bass.
Natural Progression…
The Tabanacal Bar where Slinky & Pob had
there initial “Lost In Bass” residency has now closed.

Well,
here we are, Jan 2003 and DJ Slinky’s new Website will be
online soon.
Where do we start? Slinky has been forging ahead in leaps and bounds.
First of all we had Slinky win the Queensland state heat of the
Quicksilver Airshow DJ comitition, now heading off to the finals
midyear next year against DJ Selekt & Samurai.
Slinky
has the new year filled with gigs ready to please the breakbeat
fraternity. A few notables are:

Slinky
has been accepted for a scholarship for a Degree in Recording Arts
(Hons.) (ie Audio Engineering and Production) at SAE college world
headquarters in Byron Bay.
Slinky’s first production “Twisted Rista” (on
his new reason platform) has got some solid feedback from breakbeat
notables such as Tayo, FreQnasty and General Midi. (see in "Slinky's
